A Shower for Charlotte

Last weekend my closest friends and family got together to throw me a baby shower. It was a wonderful party and it was so nice to get to see everyone! Being preggo in Philly and at least 2 hours away from my family and friends has been hard and it was so nice to celebrate with everyone. My wonderful friend Tessa planned a lot of it, along with my aunt and MIL- and she drove over 5 hours, while 36 weeks pregnant to co-host. I'm a lucky gal :) She also handmade props and set up a mini photo booth which was hilarious.

It's so weird having baby stuff in the house. With moving and everything, I haven't bought a thing so my gifts were really the first baby stuff I've gotten. It definitely seems more real now- can't wait until we get the crib and furniture so I can set her room up!

Time is definitely flying by- I had my 30 week prenatal appointment this morning.. can't believe there are only 10 weeks left! Soon I'll be cuddling my sweet baby girl-- EEEEKkk!

We are definitely the new kids on the block... our neighbors are Philly born and raised and have lived on the street their whole lives. Super nice and welcoming so far, if not a little scary looking. I love tattoos but damn are neck tattoos intimidating- haha. Loving the house and can't wait to share the before and afters from our mini house renovations! Going to pick out kitchen appliances today- hoping we find some good deals.

Weekend in the Country

I love living in the city. I really do- but coming home for a weekend in the country is SO nice once in awhile. As soon as we hit Rt. 213 (off the highway) the windows get rolled down and my blood pressure drops by about 10 (points?). Last weekend was my birthday and I wanted nothing more than a quiet, swimming filled weekend! All this baby and house-buying business has been leaving me exhausted and drained and this was exactly what I needed to re-charge!
